About Karen Vitale
Karen Vitale is the founder of SoberLife-Coach LLC, a private recovery coaching practice for people getting sober while staying engaged with their careers, families, and lives. With more than thirty years of personal sobriety and professional credentials as an addiction counselor and recovery coach, she provides confidential, one-to-one support built around each client’s real responsibilities.
Her story
Karen got sober in 1994. Through counseling, steady self-care, and a regular meditation practice, she rebuilt her life from the inside out. After twenty-five years in recovery, she formalized that experience into a profession, becoming a certified recovery coach and training in crisis and suicide prevention.
Before this work, Karen was a trailblazer in television, one of the first female broadcast videographers in New York City.
Alongside her private coaching practice, Karen provides clinical support to inpatients and outpatients at Montefiore Hospital in New York.

Who she works with
Karen works confidentially with executives, professionals, public figures, athletes, and the families around them. Some are returning home after treatment; others are getting sober without ever stepping away.
In both cases the work is private, individual, and built around the life the person already has. You can read more about recovery for executives and professionals, the alternative to rehab, and support for families.
